Contributing to the well-being and prosperity of our island home

Kikiaola Land Company Keala Foundation Community photoIn the spirit of Aloha and the rich cultural heritage of Kauai, Kikiaola Land Company is committed to forging strong partnerships within our local community. Just as the Menehune Ditch stonework stands resilient and harmonious, we strive to build relationships that are enduring and supportive, contributing to the well-being and prosperity of our island home.

Throughout the generations, many members of the Faye family have served the Waimea and Kekaha communities as nonprofit and civic organization leaders, board members, volunteers, historians, and historic preservationists. Their efforts have contributed to the community’s healthcare, cultural preservation, recreation, as well as sport and youth activities.

Today, Kikiaola Land Company continues this legacy of generosity and community support and is especially grateful for the organizations that enhance the quality of life on Kauai’s West Side. Through its giving program, Kikiaola Land Company proudly supports local non-profits, schools, and other charitable initiatives that help build a stronger, vibrant community.

Kikiaola Land Company is proud to support Waimea High School graduates as they take their next steps toward higher education. In 2025, we awarded $1,000 scholarships each to 10 recipients. They are an inspiring group of young leaders with big dreams and bright futures.

Waimea Town Celebration
Every February for more than 45 years, the Waimea Town Celebration has been hosted on Kikiaola Land Company property in front of the old Waimea Sugar Mill. The Waimea Town Celebration is an annual nine-day festival of concerts, competitions, cultural events, food, rides, and lots of fun.

Waimea 400 Master Plan
In 2019, in partnership with Kikiaola Land Company and the Faye family, the County of Kauai purchased the 417-acre parcel between Kekaha and Waimea, mauka (toward the mountains) of Kaumualii Highway, referred to as Waimea 400.

“The Fayes have been long-time stewards of this important area, and we at the County of Kauai are humbled to take responsibility for this land. We look forward to engaging with the community about the future,” stated Derek Kawakami, Mayor, County of Kauai.Kikiaola Land Company Habitat for Humanity families photo

In January 2022, the County published the Waimea 400 Master Plan, laying out the conceptual design and preferred uses of the parcel. The master plan is the culmination of the knowledge, ideas, and input from community residents, agencies, and resource partners. Based on previous community feedback, affordable housing will comprise roughly 60 acres of the site, just west of Waimea Sunset subdivision.

Kauai Habitat For Humanity
In 2017, Kauai Habitat for Humanity purchased 6.5 acres of land in Waimea, adjacent to the West Kauai Tech & Visitors Center, from Kikiaola Land Company for the development of affordable housing. “Kikiaola is proud to partner with Habitat for Humanity to provide affordable housing for the residents of West Kauai,” said Jim Beaver, secretary of the board of directors of the Kikiaola Land Company.
