Kikiaola Harbor Celebrates Parking Lot Opening

The Kikiaola Small Boat Harbor in Kekaha now features a newly improved parking lot, officially opened and blessed on May 16. The ceremony, led by Mama Poi and Hiipoi Kanahele, honored the land and welcomed the improvements. Over 75 community members gathered to celebrate with food, music, and laughter, making it a festive day for all. The upgraded lot is now open for use. Parking is free for Hawaii residents with a local driver’s license, while tour boat guests are assessed a fee using an automated system. Mahalo to everyone who joined us to commemorate this milestone!

A Sunset Send-Off for Waimea’s Class of 2025

On May 4th, the Waimea High School Class of 2025 gathered for their Senior Luau on the beach at Waimea Plantation Cottages. With perfect weather and a glowing sunset as the backdrop, students shared laughter, music, and memories in one of their final moments together before graduation. It was a privilege to provide the venue for this special event and to support such a warm, spirited send-off for the seniors. (Photo credit: Waimea Menehune Instagram)

Celebrating Lindsay “Tony” Anton Faye, Jr.

We honor the life and legacy of Lindsay “Tony” Anton Faye, Jr., who passed away on May 16, 2025, at the age of 92. A dedicated plantation manager, community leader, and lifelong steward of Kauai’s sugar heritage, Tony’s contributions helped shape the island in lasting ways. From his early days at Kekaha Sugar to leading Kikiaola Land Company and serving on the Waioli Corporation board, he was known for his steady leadership, deep knowledge, and unwavering commitment to the people and places of West Kauai. Tony’s legacy lives on through the plantation homes he helped preserve, the Grove Farm Museum programs he enriched, and the many lives he touched through service, mentorship, and aloha. We are grateful for all he gave and join his family, friends, and community in remembering a life well lived.
